Now

I’m a product-minded Learning Designer at Harvard Medical School IT. I lead HMS IT’s portfolio of learning resources, helping people across HMS build the skills and confidence to navigate our school’s technological landscape.

Path

Classroom teaching

I began my career in art education, training toward K–12 art certification in Minnesota at St. Olaf College. I went on to teach at the University of Pennsylvania (2016), Kutztown University (2016), the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts and Design at Drexel University (2019–21), and Pennsylvania College of Art and Design (2022–23), and to guest lecture at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia (2015); University of the Arts (2014); and the Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University (2017, 2020–21).

Digital learning products

Curious about how digital tools could augment and support teaching, I joined MobyMax in 2017 as a curriculum developer. MobyMax products, which are used across 80% of US public schools, use student data to tailor lessons and assessments to each student. I designed skill maps that guide adaptive learning in several math products, then became principal designer, building the design system for math content and leading a team of 12 curriculum developers. Products that I worked on earned numerous industry awards.

When COVID-19 reached the US, I volunteered to lead the move to remote learning for the Design Foundation program at Drexel, and the pandemic’s impact drew me toward public health. I joined Harvard Catalyst in 2022 as an e-learning course designer and became senior product manager of digital learning, managing 25+ learning products for clinical research education. In 2026 I moved to HMS IT.

Life

I live in the Boston area with my partner, Jake; our dog, Jack; and two cats, Lola and Dom. We only just moved here, so we’re spending our time walking along the shoreline with Jack and exploring the region.
