I began my career in art education, initially training towards K-12 art ed certification in Minnesota while at St. Olaf College before teaching at University of Pennsylvania (2016), Kutztown University (2016), Antoinette Westphal College of Media Art and Design at Drexel University (2019-21), and Pennsylvania College of Art and Design (2022-3); and guest lecturing at Institute of Contemporary Art - Philadelphia (2015); University of the Arts (2014); and Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University (2017, 2020-1).
I grew interested in technology’s potential to address challenges in education and in 2017 began as a curriculum developer for MobyMax, an EdTech company with products used across 80% of US public schools. The products we built individuated lessons and assessments by leveraging student data collected in product use. I designed and implemented adaptive learning skill maps for several math products. I later moved into a role with more responsibility as math design lead through which I operationalized content creation across multiple products, and trained and led a team of 14 curriculum developers. Products I worked on earned numerous industry awards.
When covid-19 hit the US, I volunteered to support the digital transformation to remote learning for the Design Foundation program at Antoinette Westphal School of Media, Art, and Design at Drexel University. Seeing the impact of the pandemic on students, my community, and the world, I decided to look for ways to better support public health in my daily and professional life. I joined Harvard Catalyst in 2022 as an elearning course designer, where I continue to work now as a senior product manager of digital learning.
